A Work of Art
Inspired by the Waters of Orange Beach and the Lifestyle of Ono Island
Some ideas arrive slowly. Others arrive all at once — like sunlight breaking across the water, like a sportfishing yacht easing through Perdido Pass, like the moment you finally see how every piece belongs together.
For me, A Work of Art is one of those ideas.
It began with what I love most: photographing boats, watching the water, studying homes, imagining what properties could become, and living the everyday rhythm of Ono Island and Orange Beach.
A yacht can be a work of art.
A driveway can be a work of art.
A dock can be a work of art.
A home can be a work of art.
A life well-lived on the water can be a work of art.
“A Work of Art is not just what you see. It is how beautifully everything works together.”
Designing the Future of Ono Island
I have always believed the most exciting properties are not always the most obvious ones. Sometimes the best opportunities are the homes waiting for vision — the waterfront lots with extraordinary views, the older homes with good bones, the driveways that could become estate arrivals, the docks that could become lifestyle platforms, and the interiors that could be opened to light, water, and air.
That is the heart of Designing the Future of Ono Island.
It is about looking at a property and asking:
“What could this become?”
Could an overlooked waterfront home become a modern coastal retreat?
Could an interior lot become a beautifully designed island residence with room for a boat trailer?
Could a circular driveway, fountain, palms, and live oaks transform the entire arrival?
Could a dock, boat lift, pool, outdoor kitchen, and glass-filled living room change how a home lives?
I believe they can. And I believe that is where the art begins.
The Boating Lifestyle Behind the Vision
On Ono Island, boating is not simply something people do on weekends. It is often the common thread behind the lifestyle.
It influences how people buy. It influences how people build. It influences how they renovate, entertain, landscape, park, store, gather, and move through a property.
A boater sees a driveway differently. A boater sees a dock differently. A boater sees water depth, lift capacity, trailer maneuverability, garage placement, wind protection, and Gulf access.
That is why I love tying the world of sportfishing and luxury boating into real estate.
The craftsmanship of a Viking, Hatteras, Freeman, Invincible, Caymas, or a tournament yacht like A Work of Art reflects the same qualities I admire in exceptional homes: purpose, beauty, performance, proportion, and attention to detail.
Watch the Water Stop & Then Move Again
At the center of all of this is a feeling.
It is the feeling of leaving the dock at sunrise.
The sound of outriggers in the morning air.
The quiet before a tournament boat runs offshore.
The return through Perdido Pass.
The friends gathering in the driveway before Robinson Island.
The fountain moving softly at dusk.
The chandelier glowing through curtains after a day on the water.
It is simple. And simplicity is the ultimate luxury.
“Watch the water stop & then move again.”
That phrase captures what I love most about this place. It is movement and stillness. Energy and calm. Fishing tournaments and quiet evenings. Modern architecture and old live oaks. Boats, birds, breezes, glass, palms, porches, docks, and water.
It is the texture of the Gulf Coast.

My hope is that these stories help you see Ono Island and Orange Beach through my eyes — not just as places to buy and sell real estate, but as places to live beautifully, thoughtfully, and fully.
Because sometimes a property is more than a property.
Sometimes it is a canvas.
Sometimes it is a lifestyle.
Sometimes it is a work of art.
