I am Meredith Folger Amon, owner of SearchTheGulf.com, and when buyers ask me what kind of center console makes sense for Ono Island and Orange Beach, I usually start with one idea: the best boat here needs to do more than fish. Around this stretch of coast, the right center console should be able to run offshore, cruise the back bays, sit comfortably at the dock, and still feel right for lunch or dinner by boat at places like Zeke’s, SanRoc Cay, The Wharf, Orange Beach Marina, or the Flora-Bama Yacht Club.

My personal view is that the sweet spot for many Ono and Orange Beach owners is often somewhere in the low-30-foot to mid-30-foot range, depending on how serious the offshore program is and how often the boat will also be used for more relaxed dockside afternoons. That is especially true if bridge planning, lift fit, beam, and daily usability matter. One of my own SearchTheGulf.com boating guides notes that the Ono Island bridge has an average clearance of about 24 feet at high tide, so actual air draft still deserves careful measurement before any purchase.

“For Ono Island and Orange Beach, I like center consoles that can do two things gracefully: fish hard in the morning and still look perfectly at home tied up for dinner that evening.”

1. Boston Whaler 330 Outrage

The Boston Whaler 330 Outrage is one I would absolutely have on the list for 2026. Boston Whaler publishes this model at 33'1" with a 10'2" beam, 300 gallons of fuel, and a published bridge clearance with top of 9'10". The brand also describes it as a 33-foot center console with refined finishes, social zones, and a layout that works for both serious anglers and owners who want comfort. To me, that makes it a strong Orange Beach boat for the person who wants credibility offshore without giving up dockside polish.

2. Everglades 335CC

The Everglades 335CC is another smart fit for this market. Everglades lists it at 32'4" with a 10'8" beam, 306 gallons of fuel, and a published bridge clearance with hardtop of 8'9". That published bridge-clearance figure is especially useful when buyers are trying to think realistically about Ono Island routing. I like this model for owners who want a substantial ride, a quality feel, and a spec sheet that still looks practical for protected-water use as well as bigger-water days.

3. Valhalla V-33

The Valhalla V-33 feels very much like a boat for someone who loves fit, finish, and fishability in equal measure. Valhalla publishes it at 32'10" with a 9'9" beam, 327 gallons of fuel, a 27-inch draft with engines up, and 900 max horsepower. That is a compelling profile for buyers who want a serious center console that still stays in a more manageable footprint for everyday Gulf Coast use.

4. Invincible 33 Open Fisherman

The Invincible 33 Open Fisherman belongs in this conversation for anyone whose center console needs to lean harder toward offshore fishing. Invincible publishes the boat at 32'10" with a 9'7" beam, 320 gallons of fuel, and 900 max horsepower, and the company notes that the layout allows for 425-plus nautical mile range. My opinion is that this is an excellent choice for the Ono or Orange Beach owner who prioritizes range, speed, and fishability but still wants a center console that can clean up well for a marina lunch stop.

5. Invincible 33 Catamaran

The Invincible 33 Catamaran is very worth considering if stability and deck feel matter as much to you as outright fishability. Invincible publishes this cat at 33'11" with a 10'3" beam, 400 gallons of fuel, and 900 max horsepower. For owners who like the idea of a smoother, more planted feel at rest, or who want a boat that feels especially comfortable when friends are aboard for a longer day, this is one of the more interesting options in the 33-foot class.

My Rule of Thumb
If you want to fish hard and still enjoy dockside dining comfortably, I usually tell buyers to think carefully about beam, seating, shade, and how the boat feels at rest, not just top-end numbers.

6. Caymas 34 CT

The Caymas 34 CT is a very intriguing option for 2026, especially for owners who like catamaran stability and a lot of onboard fish-and-bait infrastructure. Caymas publishes this boat at 34'3" with a 10'10" beam, 436 gallons of fuel, and a published bridge clearance of 8'10". Caymas also lists substantial livewell and insulated storage numbers, which makes this one stand out for serious anglers who still want a platform that can crossover into cruising and dockside social use.

7. Regulator 34CC

The Regulator 34CC is a classic size for buyers who want a true 34-foot offshore center console with a strong reputation for ride quality. Regulator’s published materials list it at 33'10" with a 10'11" beam, 350 gallons of fuel, and up to 1,050 horsepower depending on setup. To me, this is a very sound Orange Beach option for the owner who values a substantial platform and wants a boat that feels equally appropriate running offshore or arriving at a nicer marina restaurant in the evening.

8. Scout 357 LXF

The Scout 357 LXF may be one of the strongest dockside-dining crossovers on this list. Scout describes the 357 LXF as part of its S-Class luxury line, and published specs show it at 35'3" with a 10'9" beam, 319 gallons of fuel, and up to 1,200 horsepower. I think this is a very attractive choice for Ono Island or Orange Beach owners who want a center console that is absolutely capable on the fishing side, but that also places a real premium on luxury appointments, comfort, and presentation.

9. Yellowfin 36 Offshore

The Yellowfin 36 Offshore is the sort of boat I would point to for buyers who want to step deeper into the long-range offshore side of the conversation without giving up center console versatility. Yellowfin publishes this model at 36'8" with a 10' beam, 477 gallons of fuel, and 1,275 max horsepower. That is a lot of capability in a hull that still fits the Orange Beach lifestyle very naturally for owners who prioritize performance and fishability first.

10. Contender 35 ST

The Contender 35 ST rounds out my list because it speaks so directly to the owner who wants a fast, efficient, serious fishing machine. Contender publishes it at 34'8" with a 9'10" beam, 400 gallons of fuel, a 22-inch draft, and a ready-to-fish weight of 13,500 pounds. The brand’s own description emphasizes the patented dual stepped hull and a ride engineered for maximum time on the water. For a buyer whose priorities lean more toward fishing than lounging, this is a very legitimate option to consider.

“Around Ono Island and Orange Beach, I think the smartest boat choices are the ones that respect both parts of the lifestyle: the offshore run and the easy dockside evening.”

Where These Boats Fit Around Orange Beach

Part of why I enjoy this topic is that Orange Beach is not just a fishing destination. It is also a place where the boating day can flow naturally into dinner. Zeke’s Restaurant sits at Zeke’s Landing & Marina overlooking the back bay, SanRoc Cay highlights waterfront dining and catch-and-cook options, The Wharf offers Mile Marker 158 Dockside, Orange Beach Marina features Shipp’s Dockside Grill, and the Flora-Bama Yacht Club famously welcomes guests by boat. That broader lifestyle is exactly why I do not think center console selection here should be based on offshore stats alone.

My Final Thought

If I were helping narrow this list for a buyer on Ono Island or in Orange Beach, I would start by asking three things: how serious is the offshore program, how important is everyday dock-and-dine comfort, and what are the real lift, slip, beam, and bridge constraints at the property. In my opinion, that is how you move from admiring a boat to choosing the right one for this particular stretch of coast.

If this article helped you think through what kind of center console may best suit life around Ono Island and Orange Beach, I would love for you to drop me a quick note.
