Is There EV Charging and Parking at Turquoise Place Condos in Orange Beach, Alabama?
By Meredith | Gulf Coast Real Estate Advisor
Yes. Turquoise Place has designated electric-vehicle charging spaces inside its covered parking garage.
I confirmed this firsthand during a visit in August 2026, when I charged my Tesla at one of the property’s ChargePoint stations. For buyers, owners and vacation guests who drive an electric vehicle, this is an increasingly useful coastal-living convenience.
Instead of leaving the property to search for a public charging station, an EV driver may be able to recharge while enjoying time at the condominium. Charger access remains subject to availability and the property’s current rules, but having the equipment on site is a practical amenity for today’s Orange Beach buyer and traveler.

Question 01
Does Turquoise Place Have EV Charging Stations?
Yes. During my August 2026 visit, I photographed ChargePoint equipment installed beside designated EV parking spaces in the covered garage. My Tesla connected and charged successfully during the visit.
The charging area is easy to recognize. The equipment is marked “EV Charging Only,” and the adjoining spaces display Turquoise Place signs reserving them for electric vehicles that are actively charging. Multiple charging spaces and charging units were visible in the garage at the time of my visit.
Question 02
Is the EV Charging Located in Covered Parking?
Yes. The charging spaces I used and photographed were inside the condominium’s covered concrete parking garage. That is a meaningful detail on the Gulf Coast, where covered parking can provide welcome protection from intense sun and routine rain while a vehicle is charging.
A useful distinction: These are active EV charging spaces, not general reserved parking. Regular parking arrangements, passes, unit-specific assignments and guest access may vary. Owners, buyers and renters should confirm the rules that apply to their condominium and stay.
Question 03
What Type of EV Charger Is Available at Turquoise Place?
The equipment visible during my visit was branded ChargePoint. This is a networked EV charging system rather than a Tesla Supercharger. My Tesla charged successfully, although connector compatibility and adapter requirements can vary by vehicle model.
What should an EV driver check before arriving?
- Whether the vehicle requires an adapter;
- Whether the ChargePoint app or an account is needed;
- The current charging rate and any associated fee;
- Whether access differs for owners and rental guests; and
- Whether the station is currently operational and available.
Charging equipment, software, pricing and access policies can change. If EV charging is essential to a stay or purchase decision, confirm the current details with Turquoise Place management or the applicable rental manager.
Question 04
Can an EV Remain in the Space After It Is Fully Charged?
No. The posted Turquoise Place sign asks drivers to move their vehicles once charging is complete so other EV owners and guests may use the chargers. The sign also states that failure to move a charged vehicle may result in a fine.
This is an important courtesy in any shared charging area. An EV space should be treated as a charging space—not as reserved overnight parking after a charging session has ended.
Posted Parking Guidance
Charge your vehicle, monitor the session and relocate it when charging is complete.
Question 05
Is an EV Charger Guaranteed to Be Available?
No shared charging amenity should be treated as guaranteed. A station may already be in use, temporarily unavailable or subject to updated building policies. Demand may also be greater during holidays and peak beach season.
When driving to Orange Beach in an EV, I recommend arriving with a reasonable charge level and identifying a backup public charging option before the trip. On-site charging at Turquoise Place is a valuable convenience, but a thoughtful backup plan makes coastal travel easier.
Buyer Perspective
Why Does On-Site EV Charging Matter to a Turquoise Place Buyer?
For a buyer considering a primary residence, second home or investment condominium, EV charging is more than a novelty. It can influence the day-to-day ownership experience and may make a rental property more useful to guests who travel in electric vehicles.
Questions I encourage a buyer to ask
- How many charging ports currently serve the property?
- Where are they located, and which tower or parking area do they serve?
- Are the chargers available to owners, registered guests or both?
- Is usage first-come, first-served?
- What fees, time limits or idle penalties apply?
- Are the EV spaces separate from a unit’s regular parking allocation?
- Does the association have plans to expand charging capacity as demand increases?
Amenities and policies are subject to change, and the governing condominium documents and current management guidance should control. When I help a buyer evaluate a Turquoise Place condominium, I can assist with gathering current parking information, association materials and the practical details that affect ownership.
Local Insight
My Perspective From Turquoise Place
What I appreciate about this amenity is its usefulness. I was visiting Turquoise Place in August 2026, parked in the designated EV area and charged my Tesla while I was at the property. That kind of firsthand detail matters to me because buyers often want to understand not only how a condominium looks, but how it functions in everyday life.
Turquoise Place is one of Orange Beach’s premier Gulf-front condominium properties, and practical conveniences such as covered parking and on-site EV charging add another layer to the ownership and guest experience. A charger may not be the first feature a buyer notices, but for an EV driver, it can be one of the most useful.
