Along the Gulf Coast, “marine construction” is not a look. It’s a performance standard. I’ve watched beautifully built docks age gracefully for decades, and I’ve also seen projects that looked perfect at install start to fail early because one category of materials was “good enough” instead of truly coastal-grade.

The residences and condos at The Wharf in Orange Beach do not convey with an included deeded boat slip, so boating access is a separate decision I like to plan for early. The good news is that The Wharf Marina often has slips available to rent, and the dock map makes it clear why this can be such a flexible setup: there are two distinct marina areas, a West Basin (with dock zones labeled A–F) and an East Basin (with dock zones labeled G–N), so dockage can be matched to your boat size, your handling comfort, and how often you want to be right in the middle of The Wharf’s action.
