One of the island's main attractions is the Harriet Cockrell Center, named for the late community leader and former President of the Ono Island Women's Club. For the past four decades, the Harriet Cockrell Center has been the gathering place for Ono Island's Homeowner's Association (HO A) meetings as well as many other exciting events.

In addition to its rich history, Ono Island boasts a number of social clubs and organizations that bring the community together. For over 40 years, the Ono Island Women's Club has provided the ladies of the community with events and activities that empower and strengthen their bonds. The ladies in the Women's Club work hard to organize events that bring the island's women together, from bi-monthly meetings and theme nights to thrilling adventures and outings.

The Ono Island Men's Club has also been present on the island for the last 40 years. Similar to the Women's Club, the Men's Club organizes events and activities that bring the men of the community together, such as monthly meetings and sporting events.

Ono Island also hosts a number of faith-based fellowship organizations that provide spiritual healing and community engagement through Bible studies, prayer meetings, and mission trips. Every weekend, from Memorial Day through Labor Day, the Island will be hopping with deliciousness. The Ono Island Social Committee has been hard at work to find the very best food trucks for the island and curate the perfect menu for each weekend.

The food trucks will be located at the brand new Greenspace/Playground located near the HCC parking lot. This space was carefully crafted with the food trucks in mind. Power sources are set up to provide the trucks with the electricity they need to operate, and a walkway was created to make it easier for people to travel between the HCC parking lot and the Greenspace
