The Ono Ladies' Club meets on the first Monday of each month. at 10:00 at the HCC. Refreshments are served at 11:00. The annual dues are $50.00. 

Monthly birthday lunches are at local restaurants on the third Thursdays of the month. Planned trips are held locally. foreign and domestic travel. Annual social events include the Christmas reception, progressive dinner, wine tasting and more. The Ono Ladies' Club supports and staffs the Boutique at the Ono House which is open the first Saturday of each month from 10:00am to noon and has Ono merchandise and gifts.

The Ono Men's Club meets on the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 at the HCC.  It is open to all men who reside on Ono Island and has over 70 members. They enjoy fellowship, food, and sponsor several events including the Super Bowl party, Fish Fry, and semi-annual pine-straw fundraiser. The Ono Men's Club raises thousands of dollars to worthwhile causes and is a great avenue to enjoy fellowship and meet other men on the island.

The annual dues are $35.00.

The Ono Island Garden Club meets on the second Monday of each month at 10:00 am at the HCC with frequent guest speakers.  The annual dues are $10.00.

Ono Island Bible Study meets weekly on Wednesdays at 9:00am at the HCC.

Ono Island Steak Night is organized through the OLC and Friends of the Commons. Ono Island Steak Night is held on the last Friday of each month at 6pm at the HCC. Bring your choice of meat to throw on the grill and your favorite beverage. For a nominal fee, salad, appetizers, rolls, baked potatoes and dessert are available.

October. Halloween: The Inaugural Social Committee Witches Ride. Food Trucks, Music and Drawings.

Food Trucks are enjoyed during selective dates and are located at the Greenspace by the Harriett Cockrell Center (HCC).

Forland Family Market and Loxley Farm Market deliver each Wednesday of the month at the HCC between 3:00 and 3:30 pm. You may order pre-selected boxes or create your own "grocery list" online. Goat Island. Did you know that Ono was once known as Goat Island? In the early 1900s, the island was home to around 2,000 goats that grazed the area. Paying tribute to this part of Ono's history, the fire trucks of the firehouse proudly display the emblem of a goat on their windows.

Did you know that John Calhoun Golightly was the first person to make Ono Island their home? In the summer of 1961, Golightly turned his vision into reality by slowly transporting house materials from the present-day Holiday Harbor Marina. It took two years of hard work, but in the end, his Ono home was complete. Golightly lived there until his passing in 1983.
