Something New Is Docking Soon: Shipps Restaurant at Orange Beach Marina
By Meredith Amon, Licensed in Alabama and Florida
Big things are happening at the Orange Beach Marina, and if you’ve been wondering what’s next for the former Fisher’s restaurant space, I’m excited to share that Shipps is the name to remember. This brand-new restaurant is set to bring fresh flavor and renewed energy to one of the most prestigious marinas along the Gulf Coast.
I recently toured the marina and took a look at the site where Shipps will be opening its doors. It’s a space many of us remember fondly from waterfront dinners and celebrations at Fisher’s. Now, with new vision and careful renovation underway, Shipps will continue that legacy while offering something uniquely its own. From what I can see, this is going to be more than a restaurant—it’s shaping up to be a destination.
The location is unmatched—nestled beside stunning yachts and just steps from the docks where local fishing legends launch and return. With a wraparound deck and panoramic views of the water, I can already picture long lunches, sunset cocktails, and celebratory dinners after a day on the water. This is the kind of place that captures the coastal lifestyle we live for here in Orange Beach.
I’ll be sharing more updates as we get closer to opening day. In the meantime, if you're thinking about finding a home near this marina—or you’re dreaming of the kind of lifestyle that includes pulling your boat up to dinner—I'd love to help you explore your options.
