Ono Island provides 24/7 gated security, with guards stationed at both the main gate and the back gate. In addition, we have our own fire station staffed by trained professionals and emergency medical technicians (EMTs)—available around the clock. For residents, this level of care and security brings an unparalleled peace of mind.
Private Boat Launch
Boaters love the private boat launch, located within the island’s gated perimeter. It’s an easy and secure place to launch your vessel, whether you're heading into Bayou St. John or out into the Gulf. Many of my friends and neighbors enjoy early morning fishing trips or sunset cruises—without ever leaving the island to launch.
Harriet Cockwell Center (HCC)
The Harriet Cockwell Center, or HCC as it’s affectionately called, is more than a meeting space—it's the heartbeat of island life. This is where the Ono Island HOA meetings are held, but it also hosts a variety of events that bring the community together.
One of the most popular monthly traditions is Steak Night, open to all Ono Island residents and their guests. It’s a casual, fun event that feels like a big neighborhood cookout. It's also where you’ll hear about new happenings, catch up with friends, and get to know new residents.
