The Boat, the Pass, and the Pull of an Orange Beach July
There is a particular kind of summer light in Orange Beach that makes everything appear sharper.
The water turns deep blue beneath the boat. The dunes glow almost white in the distance. Sea oats move lightly along the shoreline, and the sky carries that soft silver haze that often settles over the coast in July.
Then a boat like this passes.
Long, low and unmistakably built for open water, it moves across the surface with the confidence of something entirely at home here. Spray rises from the hull. Fishing rods angle toward the sky. The dark custom wrap reflects the water in flashes, while the white hardtop seems almost suspended above the center console.
