I am writing this for one reason: so I can always come back to these photos and remember the details that matter. The small moments. The ordinary days that, somehow, become the most extraordinary memories.
I will never forget making the trip with my daughter to Nebraska to pick him up as a puppy. His eyes were a beautiful and sweet ice blue, the kind of blue that stopped you mid-sentence. Even then, he felt gentle. He looked at us like he already understood that we belonged to each other.
