Experience the Magic of the 51st Annual Orange Beach Festival of Art: March 8-9, 2025
By Meredith Amon, Licensed In Alabama and Florida
As an Orange Beach resident and real estate advisor, I’m excited to share one of the most anticipated events of the year—the 51st Annual Orange Beach Festival of Art, taking place on March 8-9, 2025. This festival has become a beloved tradition for our community and is the perfect way to welcome the spring season. It’s a celebration of all things art: visual, literary, performing, musical, and culinary. Best of all, it’s completely free to attend!.
The festival has earned accolades, including being named Best Art Show in Alabama three times in the past five years by ALABAMA luxury magazine. It’s also ranked in the Top 100 of national fine art and design shows. Whether you’re an art enthusiast or just someone who enjoys the vibrant atmosphere, this event offers something for everyone. Let’s take a look at some of the featured artists and the beautiful works they will showcase at the festival.
Featured Artists: A Sneak Peek at Their Work
Dustin Headrick - Folk Art
One of my most anticipated artists this year is Dustin Headrick, whose ROOSTER MOON RESONATOR GUITAR is a masterpiece of folk art. Priced at $5,000, this guitar is not only a musical instrument but a work of art that combines intricate metalwork with a stunning design. With his signature craftsmanship, Headrick transforms this functional object into something extraordinary, embodying both art and music. I’m looking forward to seeing his work in person at the festival.
Robin Renee Hix - Mixed Media 2D
Robin Renee Hix brings a playful, nostalgic feel to the festival with her Ruched Vintage Swim Suit artwork. This piece, priced at $250, is a fantastic example of mixed media 2D work that evokes the elegance and charm of vintage swimwear, while showcasing Hix's ability to blend different textures and materials. It’s a piece that immediately transports you to a different era, capturing both fashion and history.
Michael Bonardi - Jewelry
For those who appreciate the art of fine jewelry, Michael Bonardi’s Silver Belt Ring is an exquisite example of metalwork and design. At $75, this piece highlights the simplicity of silver, shaped into a beautiful ring that exemplifies craftsmanship and style. Bonardi’s work is understated yet refined, making it the perfect addition for anyone who appreciates clean, minimalist designs.
Loretta Brown - Textile/Fiber Art
Loretta Brown’s Printed Wool Poncho offers a stunning fusion of texture and color. At $200, this piece is a beautiful example of textile/fiber art, using the soft texture of wool to create a wearable work of art. Brown’s use of print and color brings out the natural beauty of the material, making it a versatile and striking addition to anyone’s wardrobe.
What to Expect at the Festival
The Orange Beach Festival of Art features over 100 fine artists from around the country, displaying a diverse range of artwork—from paintings to photography, sculpture, and jewelry. This is an incredible opportunity to support local and national artists by purchasing their one-of-a-kind pieces.
In addition to the art, there will be live music and performances throughout the weekend. You can enjoy performances on two stages, adding another layer of excitement to the festival atmosphere. With plenty of local vendors offering delicious food, it’s easy to spend an entire day soaking in the creative energy of the event.
