There’s something special about August on the Gulf Coast — the water is warm, the sunsets are golden, and the excitement in Orange Beach kicks up a notch with one of the most anticipated events of the season: the White Marlin Shootout.

This year’s tournament runs August 17–23, 2025, and as someone who lives right here in Orange Beach, I can tell you firsthand, the buzz around the docks is already building.

Whether you're an avid offshore angler or just love the energy that comes with a world-class sportfishing tournament, this is a week you don’t want to miss.

Tournament Schedule & Highlights

All events are held at Orange Beach Marina, with weigh-ins each evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mobile Big Game Fishing Club Weigh Dock, and plenty of opportunities to mingle with captains, crews, and fellow fishing fans.

Here’s the official schedule:

• Sunday, August 17:
  5:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Registration & Captains Meeting at B&T Marine

• Monday–Saturday, August 18–23:
  5:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Daily weigh-ins at the dock

• Wednesday, August 20:
  6:00 PM: Dock Party at the Mobile Big Game Fishing Clubhouse

• Saturday, August 23:
  8:00 PM: Tournament Awards & After Party
