CURRENT PROPERTY LISTINGS ON ONO ISLAND
What I’m Seeing Right Now in the Ono Island Market
“What makes Ono Island so compelling to me is that buyers can find very different kinds of waterfront living here, from grand big-water views to protected canal settings with serious boating utility.”
Right now, the active inventory I am seeing includes notable homes on River Road, Harbour Drive, Marlin Key Drive, St John Drive, Shoalwater Drive, Sandpiper Drive, Oak Drive, Canal Court, Turtle Key Drive, and Ono Boulevard. Current asking prices in the available results I reviewed stretch from the mid-$1 millions into the upper luxury tier, with examples including 30525 Harbour Drive at $2,450,000, 32754 River Road at $2,395,000, 31729 River Road at $2,323,000, 29550 St John Drive at $2,050,000, 31661 Shoalwater Drive at $1,790,000, 30231 Canal Court at $1,625,000, and 31184 Oak Drive at $1,495,000. :
The Big-Water and Luxury Segment
In my opinion, the upper end of the current Ono Island market remains especially appealing for buyers who want space, views, and boating amenities all working together. I am seeing standout luxury offerings such as 29024 Ono Boulevard at $2,990,000, 30475 Harbour Drive Unit OH-03 at $2,825,000, and several River Road addresses above the $2 million mark. These homes represent the side of Ono Island that so many people dream about: strong waterfront presence, generous square footage, and the kind of setting that feels elevated the moment you arrive.
Canal, Protected-Water, and Boating-Oriented Choices
One of the things I appreciate most about current listings on Ono Island is that not every buyer needs a giant point lot to find value here. Some of the most practical properties are the ones that offer protected-water dockage, easier day-to-day boating, and a layout that supports the way owners actually live. Addresses like 30231 Canal Court, 31661 Shoalwater Drive, 31840 Shoalwater Drive, and 33192 Marlin Key Drive reflect that boating-oriented mix I often talk about with buyers.
What I tell buyers to look at first
Water depth: A beautiful dock is one thing, but the real question is whether it works for your boat.
Exposure: Big water can be breathtaking, but canal and protected-water locations may suit some owners better.
Lift and pier condition: These details can affect both usability and long-term cost.
Street and setting: River Road, Harbour Drive, St John Drive, Shoalwater, and Marlin Key each offer a different feel.
Land and Build Opportunities
I also think it is important to note that the current market is not limited to move-in-ready homes. There are vacant homesites in the mix as well, including active land offerings such as 28932 Ono Boulevard at $2,400,000, 31654 River Road at $1,950,000, 32438 River Road at $1,900,000, and 5329 Turtle Key Drive at $1,450,000. For buyers who want to build something tailored to their boating needs, views, and floor plan preferences, those kinds of listings can be especially attractive.
What This Tells Me About the Market
To me, the current Ono Island listings show a market that still leans luxury, but with meaningful variety inside that category. There are high-end waterfront homes, buildable lots, canal-front options, and interior choices that still keep owners close to the water. Another point worth watching is that several properties in the same price tiers are already pending, which tells me well-positioned Ono Island homes are still finding buyers even in a market where purchasers are more selective than they were a few years ago.
“I don’t think buyers choose Ono Island only for a house. I think they choose it for the privacy, the boating, the waterfront utility, and the feeling that they are buying into a very specific way of life.”
My Personal Take on Buying Here Right Now
If I were advising a buyer today, I would encourage them to look beyond the headline price and study the full package: water access, lot orientation, boating setup, condition, and how the home fits their long-term goals. Ono Island has more than 900 homes overall, and the current listings continue to reflect that broad range of opportunities, from statement waterfront properties to more strategic purchases that offer strong lifestyle value.
I love living and working in this market because no two buyer conversations are exactly alike. Some want a showplace on big water. Some want a protected canal home where the boat is easy to use. Some want land so they can build exactly what they have in mind. Current property listings on Ono Island offer all three, and that is one of the reasons I believe this market remains so special.
