Barrancas Key Drive

Barrancas Key Drive is located in Unit Two, right off Ono Boulevard near the island’s entrance. It’s one of my favorite spots on the island for buyers who want prestigious bayfront living just minutes from the bridge.

Harbour Drive

Harbour Drive encircles Ono Harbour, where homes often include deeded slips in the private marina. It’s prestigious and practical for serious boaters who want storm-protected docking.

Island Court

Found in Ono North Phase One, Island Court is an interior cul-de-sac known for its sandy yards and mature trees. It feels like a tucked-away corner of the island, perfect for those who value privacy.

Marlin Key Drive

Marlin Key Drive on Ono Island is a canal-connected street on the eastern side of Ono Island in Orange Beach, Alabama, located near River Road, Sandpiper Drive, and the island’s interior canal system. It is appealing for buyers who want a more protected boating environment, with some properties offering canal frontage, docks, lifts, and convenient water access. Like many interior canal areas on Ono Island, boating suitability should be evaluated property by property, especially for bridge clearance, water depth, lift capacity, canal width, and the route toward Old River, Bayou Saint John, the Intracoastal Waterway, Perdido Pass, and the Gulf of America. Homes near Marlin Key Drive may include a mix of raised coastal homes, updated canal-front residences, slab or stem-wall homes, and properties with outdoor living spaces designed around boating and waterfront views.

Oak Drive

Winding through Ono North Phase Two, Oak Drive is shaded by live oaks. Its wide, elevated lots allow for large homes, pools, and gardens. Many properties fall into X flood zones, which can mean lower insurance.

Oleander Court

Located in Unit Two, Oleander Court is a bayfront cul-de-sac on Bayou St. John. Homes here combine water access, deep-water docks, and privacy in an intimate setting. It’s exclusive and highly desirable for bayfront buyers.

Ono Boulevard

The island’s main road, Ono Boulevard stretches from the west gate to the east end. Near the entrance, it features interior homes; further east, it transitions into trophy waterfront estates with bay, Gulf, and river views.

Prestige bayfront living in Ono Island’s Unit Two along Bayou St. John. Homes here showcase screened porches, deep-water docks, and expansive balconies designed to capture stunning sunsets and big-water views — the epitome of Ono Island’s luxury waterfront lifestyle.

This photo beautifully captures a slice of Ono Island waterfront living along Bayou St. John. The homes in view showcase the variety of architecture found here, from classic coastal cottages with screened porches to larger, more modern multi-story residences with expansive balconies.

The blue coastal-style home in the center-right of the photo highlights the island’s charm, complete with a screened porch, metal roof, and private dock with a covered boat slip — perfect for days spent on the water. To the left, the three-story white home with large wraparound balconies reflects the trend of maximizing bay views and outdoor living.

Palm trees line the waterfront, adding a tropical feel that blends seamlessly with the calm waters of Bayou St. John. The scene is a perfect example of what draws buyers to Ono Island: deep-water access, luxury docks, and expansive views, all just minutes from the Gulf.

This area represents exactly what I often share with buyers — prestige bayfront living paired with boating convenience. It’s the kind of setting where evenings are spent watching sunsets reflect across the bay while boats glide by in the distance.

Sandpiper Drive

Sandpiper Drive on Ono Island is an inland canal-front street in Orange Beach, Alabama, located within the island’s interior canal system. Many properties along Sandpiper Drive offer protected waterfront living, with potential boating access, docks, and lifts depending on the individual lot. Nearby streets include Turtle Key Drive, Sandy Key Drive, Yellow Fin Drive, Marlin Key Road, and River Road. For boating buyers, it is important to verify water depth, bridge clearance, canal route, dock condition, and lift capacity, as some properties may be bridge-limited while others may offer more convenient access toward Old River, Bayou Saint John, the Intracoastal Waterway, Perdido Pass, and the Gulf of America.

Sandy Key Drive

Sandy Key Drive on Ono Island is a distinctive street because it offers more than one type of waterfront setting. Some properties are located directly on the deep water of Bayou Saint John, which can be especially appealing for boaters who want larger-water access, longer docks, and a more direct route toward the Intracoastal Waterway, Perdido Pass, and the Gulf of America. Other properties along or near Sandy Key Drive connect to the interior canal system near Sandpiper Drive, where boating access may be more protected but should be reviewed carefully for bridge clearance, water depth, lift capacity, and canal route. This makes Sandy Key Drive an important street for buyers comparing deep-water Ono Island properties with more sheltered canal-front options in Orange Beach, Alabama.

On the northeast shoreline, Sandy Key Drive fronts Bayou St. John. It’s known for wide vistas, deep water, and high-end bayfront homes, making it a top-tier address.

Shoalwater Drive

Shoalwater Drive is one of the most prestigious bayfront streets, with deep-water docks and sweeping views of Bayou St. John. It’s a favorite for luxury estates.

Turtle Key Drive

A small cul-de-sac on the northeast end, Turtle Key Drive fronts Bayou St. John. It’s private and peaceful, with calm-water frontage ideal for paddlecraft.

Whispering Circle

In Ono North, Whispering Circle is an interior cul-de-sac with wooded, elevated lots. It’s private and quiet, appealing to those who want a tucked-away retreat.

On the south side, Yellowfin Drive branches off River Road. While not directly waterfront, it benefits from Gulf breezes and convenient access to boating routes.
